Painting of the ducks.

The Ducks

A recreation of an original painting by Alexander Koester. I first saw a Koester painting in a museum at Texas A&M University and fell in love with his beautiful work. Many of his ducks are painted in shades of blue, but I loved the warm golden tones of this piece in particular.

Painting of a Japanese archer.

Japanese Archer

This original composition based on a photo depicts an archer outdoors with a stone floor, ceremonial pot, geese, and mountains added to keep a truly oriental feel. The ceremonial feel and richness of the color in his robe and background appeal to me.

The Kiss

This is a recreation of a photo from a horse race in Kyrgyzstan. The joy emanating from the woman’s face and her happy yellow ruffled dress complement the man’s regal brocade jacket, ethnic hat, and firmly planted kiss.

The Four Boys

My client and I created this this portrait of her boys wearing period clothing of the early 1900s when their home was built. The children love their pet, a hunting dog, and were delighted to see him in the painting.

The Dallah

This original composition features coffee beans, dates, and brass items purchased in Kuwait, and a fine tablecloth from Austria. These personal items were brought together to create a colorful tabletop arrangement.
